Our current trustees are:
Caitlin Dean
Caitlin is a Registered General Nurse who specialises in hyperemesis gravidarum following her personal experience of the condition.
As the Chairperson for Pregnancy Sickness Support she has established a national support network for those affected in the UK and has supported the development of sister networks in Ireland and Australia. Caitlin holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Research and is currently undertaking a PhD in hyperemesis research with the Academic Medical Centre in Amsterdam. She lives on a farm in Cornwall with her husband, three children and dog.
Prof Catherine Nelson-Piercy
Catherine Nelson-Piercy is Consultant Obstetric Physician at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals Trust and Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, London.
She specialises in the care of women with medical problems in pregnancy. She has published extensively in the area of HG and was co-developer of the RCOG guideline “The Management of Nausea and Vomiting of Pregnancy and Hyperemesis Gravidarum (Green-top Guideline No. 69)”
Sarah Shenow
Sarah is a research Portfolio Manager at MQ: mental health. She has worked in medical research funding for the last decade, specialising in mental health and child development.
She has a keen interest in translating research into practice, robust research practices, and reproducibility. She lives in south London with her husband and two children, and had severe hyperemesis in both pregnancies.
Prof Rebecca Painter
Rebecca Painter is Consultant Obstetrician at the AMC hospital in Amsterdam and trustee for the ZEHG foundation supporting women with hyperemesis gravidarum in the Netherlands.
